5:21 AM · Jan 30, 2020

The No. 2 Roseburg wrestling team beat South Eugene 75-6 and Sheldon 73-3 Wednesday night at Sheldon high school. The Roseburg JV team beat South Eugene 84-12 and downed Sheldon 80-12. South Eugene gave up nine forfeits against the Indians. "We had a bunch of forfeits with South Eugene but the boys did a good job being ready to wrestle and attacked well," Roseburg coach Steve Lander said. "The Sheldon dual was a lot more action. Nash Singleton continues to be very dominant. Rogan Coffman and Tyler Estes have been wrestling very good for us. Overall another good meet for Roseburg wrestling!" Roseburg had eight pins against Sheldon. The Indians now will look forward to the Resers Tournament of Champions this Friday and Saturday at Liberty high school in Hillsboro. The scoring will be like the state tournament but varsity and JV are in separate brackets and scored separately. "We always look forward to Resers," Lander said. "Last chance for a tournament setting prior to Districts. Great competition for our boys. Looking forward to the competition!"
