Executive order effective March 17 for four weeks Health Officials Forecast additional 1000 needed hospital beds, and 400 ICU beds statewide by April 11th. Statewide cancellation of all events and gatherings of 25 people or more. Exemptions to the ban include grocery stores, pharmacies, retail stores and workplaces. Schools - not updating the April 1st restart date. It still stands for the moment. Obviously this could change. Brown urged Oregonians to avoid being around more than 10 people at a time and suggested businesses that can shut down completely should do so. Restaurants, bars restricted to carryout and delivery only. No on-site consumption "Can your business do the equivalent of restaurant takeout?” Brown asked. "If you cannot do that, I strongly urge you to close your doors to customers temporarily.” Urging all businesses to adopt social distancing measures. It's not a demand for all businesses to close their doors. At this point, it's a request if "a take out" version is not possible. More updates to come
