When they asked him to leave today he became abusive and disorderly to the employees. He went to Big Lots to use their bathroom, but he was also previously trespassed from there. He was in the left lane and stated he needed to continue south. He told me he is familiar with the area and knew the lanes would merge so he accelerated to get in front of the vehicle that was in the right lane. He told me the vehicle would not let him over which caused him to have to turn left onto SE Stephens. He then struck the stop sign at the entrance onto SE Stephens and drug it into the Travel Inn parking lot. His vehicle was inoperable and Roseburg Towing arrived on scene to remove it from the parking lot. Public works had to replace the stop sign. There were no injuries and no other vehicles involved. DETAIL(S): An investigation revealed Pislar turned left onto the freeway on-ramp against a blinking yellow turn arrow while Sprague had a green signal in the opposite direction, causing the two vehicles to collide in the intersection. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Roseburg Towing, and all occupants were examined at the scene by EMS. DISPO: Traffic Collision. PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 06/14/2020 (01:00 PM) LOCATION: 2125 Stewart Parkway, Edenbower (Walmart) INCIDENT: Theft CASE #: 202600 PERSON(S): (S) Carpenter, Christopher Edward (32) Roseburg CHARGE(S): Theft III, Providing False Information to Peace Officer, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Parole Violation, Warrant – Parole Violation (Douglas County) VEHICLE(S): DETAIL(S): Carpenter matched the description of a suspect from a theft that occurred at Walmart. An officer found him near the area of Lil Pantry and told him to put his hands behind his back. He instead started to flee on foot running through four lanes of traffic despite the officer yelling at him to stop. He was caught and tackled him to the ground. He originally gave a false name but then admitted his name was Christopher Carpenter. He also had a warrant for his arrest. DISPO: Lodged at Corrections. Paige pulled in front of Keller's vehicle before being struck on the driver's side. Paige lost control of her vehicle and veered into the retaining wall at Dawson's Carpet Cleaning, before coming to a stop near the entrance of Floors by Design. Both vehicles were towed by Roseburg Towing. Paige was transported to Mercy by ambulance for treatment of minor injury. DISPO: Traffic Collision. When she was contacted, she was screaming and causing a scene on the sidewalk adjacent to Garden Valley. She was additionally charged with violating her Parole conditions.
