This past week firefighters from Roseburg Fire Department, Douglas Forest Protection Association and Douglas Fire District No.2 performed wildland firefighting training on Reservoir Hill in Roseburg. The training was this past Monday, Wednesday and Friday and allowed all the different agencies an opportunity to train together.

It also burned the hillside below where the 4th of July Firework Show will be held next week. This could help prevent the dry grass from catching on fire in the area.
