(DFPA) DFPA’s Rock Creek Guard Station, which was built in 1952, was destroyed by the Archie Creek Fire.  DFPA’s Rock Creek Forest Officer, who lived at the Guard Station, was helping our neighbors to the north at the Sweet Creek MP 2 Fire in western Lane County when the Star Mountain / Archie Creek Fires originated.  He made it back in time to grab a few personal belongings out of the Guard Station before it was overrun by the blaze.
