2020 Veterans Day Parade Set For Douglas County Fairgrounds

The Douglas County Veterans Day Parade will be in reverse this year at the county fairgrounds that allows floats to be stationary while spectators drive by. The Reverse parade is set to begin at 11 a.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The parade route was moved to the Douglas County Fairgrounds this year, in order to provide proper distancing for staging of the parade entries. The reverse format also takes into account the current social gathering guidelines, since their won't be crowds gathering on the side of the parade route. Instead they'll be able to drive by the stationary floats. The 2020 Douglas County Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshals will feature Military Doctors & Nurses, with the theme "Embrace the past –Engage the present –Envision the future." The Douglas County Veterans Day Parade, is one of only two Veterans Day parades in Oregon that was not cancelled due to the pandemic.
