The Umpqua National Forest encourages you to attend Wednesday’s virtual public meeting on the future of Tiller Ranger Station. The Forest has hired a contractor to conduct a feasibility study that will consider the compound’s deferred maintenance costs, employee recruitment and retention challenges, and limited telecommunications connectivity, as well as public feedback. Although no decisions have been made, the feasibility study will examine alternative locations to the current Ranger Station. The meeting will be held this Wednesday at 4:00p.m. via Facebook Live.
