Fall Planting and Cleanup Event at Stewart Park Ponds

This morning we had another amazing planting/cleanup event in front of the Stewart Ponds and Natural Area! We had about 40 volunteers come out along with several members of the Green Club, the environmental club at Roseburg High School! We got lots more native plants and grasses planted, lots of bark chips spread and trash and litter picked up. I want to thank Tracy Pope from the City of Roseburg Parks Department for all your help facilitating today's event. Shoutout out to Keith McDonald for all your help putting on the event today. Also thank you to the City of Roseburg for supplying a brush and trash dumpster. Huge thank you to Cassie May and her mother Sheri for providing all the hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cupcakes, and drinks for everyone. That was seriously amazing! Big thank you to Kyle Kipperman for providing Level Up Frozen Yogurt gift cards to all the kids that showed up today, that was very much appreciated by them all! Thank you to everyone who showed up today, to those who tried to make it today, and to those who've supported and contributed to this work earlier in the journey, you all are appreciated.
