UCC Hosting Haunted Hawk Dash Obstacle Course Race Fundraiser

This coming Saturday October 22nd at 10 am, UCC is hosting an obstacle course race fundraiser at the Umpqua Community College Track facility. Here are the details: • 5k (ages 15+) run with 25+ obstacles @ 10:00am • Kids (7-14) 1mi run with obstacles @ 11:00am. Registration Cost: $15 kids 1mi race, $30 5k race. Located at the Umpqua Community College Track facility. You can register online or at check-in day of. All registration fees and donations go towards our OCR team fundraiser for new training equipment, gear, and travel expenses. Finisher awards for all racers that complete the course. Medals will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers, and top 3 kids. The race will happen rain or shine. The running course/terrain alone is very hilly and challenging as it stands, the obstacles pose quite the additional challenge as well. However, the course is absolutely suitable for most people of different athletic abilities. Be prepared to run, jump, crawl, climb, carry, pull, and get dirty! Some obstacles will require burpees for skipping/failing Water and post-race snacks will be available, and water stations on the 5k course. Volunteers are welcome.
