Almost 100 shopping carts were pulled out of the Stewart park Natural Area, as well as a few 40-yard dumpsters of trash over the last few days during a large cleanup. A backhoe was used to pull several buried shopping carts out of the creek running through the park. Huge thank you to Roseburg Police and Officer Chavez, compliance officer Dennis Randolph, Roseburg Public Works, Roseburg Parks Dept, and the Douglas County work crew! There was also a service advocate on hand to offer help to individuals. 

We are going to do a little bit more litter pick up around the parking area at the Duck Pond at 1 PM this afternoon if anyone would like to join us. We will have extra trash grabbers for anyone who shows up. 🤙 I believe we are going to Tino’s tacos afterward. 🌯
