Beauty Amongst the Brokenness

Tonight I heard about a pretty awesome thing. A couple of cars were broken into and a wallet and a purse were stolen out of them. How one of the victims responded though was beautiful. One of the victims had a sizable amount of money in their wallet that was taken. That money was intended for food for their family and the person was upset. The second victim, upon seeing this, went up and offered to replace the money that the thieves had stolen. After the two victims had left the scene, we stood in the rain in the YMCA parking lot with the police officer mostly talking about the act of kindness that followed. It was beautiful.
