As of 4:40 pm, the fire is 100% trailed, plummed, and in mop-up status. DFPA crews will remain on the fire, performing mop-up; churning debris, and eliminating hotspots for several days. Minimal smoke may be visible in the area as crews continue working. No structures or homes were threatened by this fire. DFPA would like to remind everyone that we are in Fire Season. Open campfires and debris burns are now prohibited/restricted/ not allowed, in all lands within the Douglas District. Today’s sparse rain and lower temperatures have not eliminated the threat of a fire occurring. It only takes one spark.
