Clothes Needed at the Douglas County Foster Children's Clothes Closet
11:59 PM · Oct 8, 2019The Douglas County Foster Children's Clothes Closet is running low on several types and sizes of clothing. The Closet helps foster parents obtain clothes for their foster children. There are over 500 kids currently in foster care in Douglas County. Providing access to free clothing for these children allows these kids and families to use their resources for other things. I do have one encouragement. Please make sure the clothes are in good condition, or better yet, even new. Often times clothes are donated by very well meaning people but arrive in very poor condition. Currently the most needed clothes are: Boys Pants and Shirts 3-6 T Pajamas 5-7 Underwear (New only Please) All Sizes Socks (New Only Please) All Sizes Girls Pants and Shirts 3-6 T Pajamas 5-7 Underwear (New only Please) All Sizes Socks (New Only Please) All Sizes If people could bring their donations to the DHS Building on Harvard on the Child Welfare side (Main entrance facing south) on Tuesday or Friday between 8am-1pm that would be awesome. You can leave it at the counter and just tell them it’s for the Children’s Clothes Closet. Angel Beck and Jan Patton are doing awesome work helping out all these foster kids and families, thank you both for all that you do!
