Cold Front May Bring Snow to Roseburg This Week

The National Weather Service in Medford reports that snow levels will drop overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, reaching as low as 500-1000 feet. While Roseburg may only see trace amounts to around 1 inch of snowfall, lingering surface warmth and moisture should limit immediate accumulation. However, roadways could become locally slick where slush develops, particularly during the Tuesday morning commute. Mountain passes and the Cascades will see the heaviest accumulations, with 5-12 inches forecast and dangerous travel conditions expected through Thursday. The combination of snow and breezy winds will reduce visibility on area roadways. Travelers heading to Diamond Lake, Crater Lake, or other mountain destinations should prepare emergency kits and monitor conditions closely before departing.
