This KMAX helicopter was combatting the Cougar Creek Fire near Hubbard Creek Road today. Thanks to the nearby Grier Reservoir, it was making water drops about every two minutes. The helicopter's bucket holds approximately 680 gallons and can operate for over two hours before refueling. Today, 17 helicopters are deployed across the Tyee Ridge Complex. Kudos to the highly skilled pilots and fire crews protecting structures along Hubbard Creek Road, as well as local residents aiding in firefighting efforts.
