Sgt. Walton and Officer Spingath Retire from Roseburg Police Department

Yesterday, family and friends gathered to celebrate the retirement of Sgt. Walton and Officer Todd Spingath and their dedicated service to the Roseburg Police Department and our community for the past two and a half decades. Sgt. Walton began working for the Roseburg Police Department in October of 2000. During his career, he worked patrol for several years, served as a Detective, a Master Officer, Corporal and Patrol Sergeant. He was also awarded the Metal of Honor, served on the Hostage Negotiation Team, and was our regions Crisis Intervention Coordinator. Sgt. Walton is passionate about behavioral and mental health and will continue his career by working at Adapt as the Crisis Team Case Manager. Officer Todd Spingath began his career in December of 1999 as a Patrol Officer. During his career, he served as a Detective for over a decade where he worked multiple homicides, sexual assaults, violent crimes and officer involved shootings. He was awarded the Metal of Honor, served on the Interagency Honor Guard and was a sniper and team leader on the Emergency Response Ream. Officer Todd Spingath will continue his career by working as a Tribal Police Officer for the Cow Creek Tribal Police Department. Congratulations Sgt.
