The North Douglas volleyball team beat Elkton Tuesday night in straight sets in a Skyline League north division matchup.

The Warriors (16-6, 9-1) have won five straight Skyline League matches with their only league loss coming against undefeated Days Creek (9-0). Nicki Derrick had five aces and Rilie-Jo Olds added 10 kills for the Warriors. Halli Vaughn had seven kills while Samantha MacDowell added 10 digs. “We have been playing well, much more consistent and hitting better,” North Douglas coach Emily Reed said. “I am feeling confident about our remaining games and excited to play Days Creek on our home court next Thursday on senior night.” Elkton (8-7, 7-4) sit in third place in the Skyline League north division behind North Douglas and Days Creek. Elkton plays Skyline League south division leader Camas Valley (14-3, 9-2) at home on Saturday at 5 p.m. The No. 6 ranked Warriors will play Riddle at home on Thursday at 6 p.m. North Douglas will host Days Creek next Thursday in the final regular season match.
