Wildlife Safari Welcomes African Painted Dogs

WINSTON, Ore. — Wildlife Safari has welcomed three African Painted Dogs to the park. The nine-year-old males arrived Saturday, July 19, from the Oklahoma City Zoo and are now on view in the Lion Loop section of the drive-thru. Known for their striking coats and strong pack behavior, African Painted Dogs are a highly social and endangered species. The new arrivals have adapted quickly to their habitat and are already drawing attention from guests. Wildlife Safari Executive Director Dan Van Slyke thanked local sponsors and community members for helping make the transfer possible. He emphasized the park’s commitment to conservation and education. The dogs can be seen daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Lion Loop. More information is available at wildlifesafari.net.
