Friday Morning MP97 Fire Update: Fire only grows 58 acres in the past 24 hours, now at 13,128 acres and is 35% contained.

The Milepost 97 fire only grew by 58 acres over the past 24 hours as crews continue to get the fire under control. According to DFPA late Thursday night, the fire is approximately 35% contained. Smoke: Hazy skies will be seen from Roseburg to Crater Lake to Ashland. Azalea and Glendale however will have it much worse and it will be at unhealthy levels again. Canyonville will likely again see a bit more smoke today before the winds shift and start blowing it back to the south. More info coming shortly
