Roseburg Public Schools Seeking Bond Advisory Group Applicants

Roseburg Public Schools is developing a bond campaign for May 2022 and is planning on doing it in a new way. Whereas school bonds are typically driven by the school board, Roseburg wants to let the community lead the discussion with the advisory group. The board will make the final decisions on details of the bond measure. Group members will be asked to commit to attending all meetings. Meeting dates and times include: Aug. 18 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 29 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. Applicants who are interested in the community’s investment in schools and children as well as Roseburg’s future prosperity are encouraged to apply. The group will comprise a mix of district-appointed members and those selected from the pool of applicants. Applications will be accepted through Aug. 6.
