J & J Market Raffling Back to School Supplies Saturday

J & J Market is hosting their annual End of Summer Block Party today at 5 p.m. where they will be raffling off backpacks, school supplies, and bikes. There will also be free food and music as Owner Charlie Park's way to say thank you. "They [the community] have been very good to me over the years," Park said. "I wanted to pay that back to my community." There will be separate raffles for boys and girls. Park said he's had some people help donate money for the raffle and Umpqua Dairy donated some ice cream. This will be his fourth year doing the block party. Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. at 1502 SE Stephens St.
