The Sutherlin Skate Park is getting a beauty treatment on Wednesday, June 8 at 1:30. Volunteers are welcome, supplies are provided. 

The Sutherlin Students of Color Affinity Group through Douglas Educational Service District and the Supporters of Sutherlin Skate Park are working together to cover up the graffiti and make the park a welcoming place with murals and inspirational quotes to symbolize new community growth. The students in the group use the park on a regular basis and wanted to take care of it for others.

The skate park is on the 800 block of 6th Avenue in Sutherlin across the street from Family Church  Sutherlin. The group plans to be out there until 7:30 p.m. and is open to drop-in volunteers.
