Where to Buy Pies in Roseburg

8:45 PM · Nov 5, 2022

Thanksgiving is on the way. I don't know about you, but the most important part of the Thanksgiving meal is the pie. But pie is (in my personal opinion) the masterpiece pastry and is not the easiest thing to make, especially if you are making a lot of food. When the Kruse Farm's Market was selling pies, they would sell over 2,000 pies between the Friday before Thanksgiving to the Sunday after. With that hole, Douglas County is looking for a new place to buy its holiday pies. Most grocery stores sell some pies, including Sherm's Thunderbird Market, Fred Meyer, Walmart, Costco, Albertson's, and Safeway. Shari's sells whole pies and different combinations of Thanksgiving meals. The pre-order deadline is Nov. 22. The manager said it is likely they will run out of some things by that date. Good Dog Bakery in Myrtle Creek does a few select pies. Pre-order in the store by Nov. 18th. Casey's Diner has pre-order pies, pumpkin rolls and just about anything you could want. The pre-order deadline isn't set yet, but will be at least a couple days in advance. Brosi's Sugartree Farms has a small selection of pies when the vendor brings them, but there is not currently a pre-order option. Dinner by Northcraft will do some cheesecakes. Pre-order is available on the Facebook group and pick-up is available at Jackson Street Provisions. Check your local farmers' markets for other pie options! Deb's Market Garden will be taking a break from the Umpqua Valley's Farmers' Market for personal reasons. She will return on Nov. 19. Photo courtesy of Deb.
