Area Kids Invited to Embark on Citywide Park Scavenger Hunt in Roseburg

In the spirit of National Scavenger Hunt Day on May 24th, Roseburg Parks & Recreation is hosting a free Parks Scavenger Hunt activity for kids. Besides the adventure, the event is planned to encourage kids to explore the beautiful parks all over Roseburg. The event, which will run from May 15th through May 31st, requires participants to visit four city parks listed on a Scavenger Hunt Worksheet. Participants will have to answer a set of questions related to these parks. Once completed, the worksheet should be submitted for a chance to win an exciting prize. The lucky winners will be announced on June 1st. The Scavenger Hunt Worksheet can be obtained from May 15, 2023. It can be picked up from the Roseburg Public Library or Roseburg City Hall during their operating hours. The completed worksheets can be returned in-person at the library or city hall, or via email to parks@cityofroseburg.org by May 31st. The Roseburg Public Library, located at 1409 NE Diamond Lake Blvd., is open from Tuesday to Thursday between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm and on Friday & Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Roseburg City Hall, situated at 900 SE Douglas Ave., is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. On June 1st, winners will be drawn randomly and contacted. The answers to the scavenger hunt will also be published on the Roseburg Parks & Recreation Facebook Page.
