Set scores were 25-8, 25-5, 25-10. Ruby Livingston had five kills and four blocks for Glide (12-13) while Zoe Parazoo added three kills. “Between our team still being very green and very young, and the power that Kennedy has on their team, we just had a tough time,” Glide coach Stephanie Furlong said. “They’re a very skilled and consistent team and I expect they will do very well at the state tournament.” Glide who started the season 0-6, went 12-7 the rest of the season as they finished second in the Southern Cascade League with a 9-3 conference record. “Reflecting on our season, I’m just so glad to have been able to coach this group,” Furlong said. “They’re really an incredible collection of young women. They’re smart and respectful, coachable and a joy to be around.” Glide finished as a team with a 3.67 GPA which was seventh overall in the Academic All-State for 2A. “I feel very proud of what they have accomplished this year and although I am sad to say goodbye to Zoe Parazoo and Krystan Markillie, I’m really looking forward to next season,” Furlon added. “I think the sky is the limit for these girls moving forward.”
