Stewart Park Cleanup Project Got A Massive Boost Today

A few months ago, Kevin Saylor found out about all the volunteer work being done in the Stewart Park Natural Area. He saw the images of the legion of volunteers removing blackberry bushes, and downed trees all by hand. So Kevin reached out to me and offered to come out and help. He also said he could bring his 20,000 lb excavator! This morning Kevin showed up and got to work cleaning up a strip of land between the Natural Area and the SDA church. There were lots of large, downed trees in the area that had been sitting for years preventing the area from being properly maintained. Other noxious bushes were removed like English Hawthorn. It's a remarkable thing to see a highly skilled excavator operator in action. He made quick work of all the downed trees and we got them cut up with some going to firewood and some being left to create natural habitat for animals and insects in the area. Kevin, you're awesome man! You saved us an enormous amount of work today. Thank you for all your help! If anyone ever needs any land clearing done, road building or other excavation work done, definitely reach out to Kevin Saylor Excavating!
