Updated Visitor Policy at Mercy Medical Center

3:46 PM · Mar 16, 2020

We encourage our community members with hospitalized loved ones to stay home if at all possible during the COVID-19 outbreak. Effective Monday, March 16, 2020 To keep our patients and staff safe during the COVID-19 outbreak, we are revising our visitor policy until further notice to the following: • All Patients and Visitors will be screened prior to entering the hospital. • Patients will be limited to 2 visitors per day. • Screening stations are located at the Visitor Entrance, Patient Entrance and Emergency Department Entrance • Visiting Hours are from: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. • After hours, Family BirthPlace patients will continue to use the night entrance located by the South Lobby. Visitors to Family Birthplace will be screened and be limited to 2 (still no children allowed 17 and under). All Visitors must be illness free, with no fever or cough and meet all other criteria established by the CDC. Please note: Visitors who have a fever or cough or respond yes to any of the CDC screening questions during the screening process will not be allowed to enter the hospital. Due to the fluid nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, we may change our policy again. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we continue to keep our patients and staff safe.
