Breaking: Oregon Gov Brown Tells Oregonians to Stay Home
Breaking: Oregon Gov Brown said starting tonight that all Oregonians need to "stay home, stay healthy" unless absolutely necessary. "Stay home to save lives." "It's both an order and a public awareness campaign." Does not want to use Police resources to enforce. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, also at the news conference said the measure is not being called shelter in place as this is not a complete lockdown. The directive still allows for Oregonians to go out to grocery stores, pickup food, go to pharmacies, gas stations and other activities like exercising. Finally, the Gov warned “The storm is coming but we still have time to change its course. Stay home and stay healthy.” Updates on other types of businesses and more announcements sound like they are coming on Monday.
