(Release) (March 26, 2020) – The Roseburg VA Health Care System is asking residents in its area to limit non-clinical or unofficial visits to its five facilities. RVAHCS has its main campus in Roseburg; community-based outpatient clinics in Brookings and North Bend; and two clinics in Eugene. Many of our previously scheduled appointments have been rescheduled, however, our Urgent Care is still open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. We’re further asking all patrons to our facilities to limit their visits to official business or to keep scheduled appointments. While RVAHCS’s response efforts are exhaustive, it will remain open to serve the needs of Veterans with as few interruptions as possible, according to Keith Allen, Director of the health care system. “We are here to continue to provide for the health care needs of our enrolled Veterans,” said Allen. “The COVID-19 response is a nationwide imperative and we are working with local, regional and national partners to implement both Veterans Health Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance to safeguard our Veterans and staff with as few disruptions as possible.” Additionally, Roseburg VA Health Care System is screening 100 percent of all Veterans, employees and visitors to each one of its. RVAHCS facilities are limiting patient companions to one per Veteran, per visit. Companions must be age 16 or older. Any additional companions or guests will be asked to wait outside the facility.
