Oregon Gov. Kate Browns Framework for Reopening the State

Oregon Governor Kate Brown this morning released a framework for what the state is looking to get in place as we move towards reopening the State. 1. Slow the growth of the disease. Advisory panel working on exact metrics. 2. Having enough PPE. 3. Public Health Framework robust enough to handle. 4. Testing capacity increased everywhere in the state. Contract tracing system must be robust. 5. Effective quarantine and isolation system for those that test positive. Will hold discussions from leaders across the state. Will speak with all sectors. Will bring in business owners and health professionals. Additional guidelines might be needed, including plexiglass barriers and PPE. Governor Brown said that Oregon's response will be different from California's for example. The States will be aligned and work together, but responses will be different because the States are different and will have different needs. Geographic specific reopening of the state of Oregon a definite possibility. The framework above would still apply. Goal is to reopen medical and dental practices that have been shuttered asap.
