Barb's Flowers Stays Open Continuing To Spread Cheer

Barb’s Flowers has stayed open for business helping deliver cheer one flower bouquet at a time. Barb’s Flowers has instituted no contact delivery and is following all necessary sanitation methods. The other flower shop open in Roseburg is Parkside Flowers which is near downtown. “I’ve been lucky to be able to stay open as it only takes a couple people to run the shop.” Owner Barbara Hagedorn said. “We get the recipients phone number and call upon delivery and knock and set the arrangement on the porch and step back.” “Once we take it out of the van we wipe down the container with a Lysol wipe,” Hagedorn said. “Plus my staff has hand sanitizer in the van and uses that often.” If you would like to pick up an order they ask that you call ahead or you can drop by their location as there is not a lot of walk in traffic right now. Their hours currently for Mother’s Day week will be 7 am-6 pm. Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday, May 10. “We have had a lot of positive response,” Hagedorn said. “It is nice knowing we can make people happy through all of this crazy stuff.” Barb’s Flowers has also been sending flowers to different groups of people around town. “We also donated flowers to the bus drivers to bring them some cheer,” Hagedorn said. “We brought flowers to the kitchen staff at the schools we just wanted to brighten people’s day.
