(DFPA) Crews from the Douglas Forest Protective Association and the Myrtle Creek Rural Fire Department suppressed a small fire Friday morning about 5 miles east of Myrtle Creek, near Pack Saddle Road. Crews arrived on scene of the fire shortly after 10:00 am and quickly suppressed the blaze. A preliminary fire investigation indicated that the fire may have been caused by an illegally dumped mattress that was lit on fire. The Pack Saddle Fire burned approximately 1/100th of an acre.
