6:31 PM · Jun 3, 2020

Oregon Gov Kate Brown, along with Oregon Health Authority Director Patrick Allen and Dr. Dean Sidelinger shared more details about the Phase 2 reopening framework. Here are some notable points: 35 Counties in Oregon are in Phase 1 right now. Going to take a regional approach. Counties can move to phase two after being in phase 1 for 21 days and are showing control of the virus. Phase 2 will likely last for at least the next several months, all the way through the summer and possibly into the fall. Extending hours for bars and restaurants to midnight. Shifting from requiring, to strongly recommending remote work for offices. Allowing venues like bowling alleys and arcades to reopen, and some recreational sports will be able to resume. Allowing pools to reopen with under physical distancing, movie theaters to operate again. Social, civic and faith based gatherings can meet in larger, physically distant groups. Size of gatherings will increase to 250 as long as distancing can be observed and size of building. 50 indoors, 100 outdoors. Zoos, museums and outdoor gardens will be able to reopen with new guidelines. Collegiate athletes will be able to return to train by mid-June. Governor will announce which counties in Oregon can move into Phase two on Thursday. Phase two will begin for those counties on Friday.
