PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 08/17/2020 (12:04 PM) LOCATION: Diamond Lake / Winchester, Roseburg INCIDENT: Minor Injury Vehicle Collision CASE #: 203583 PERSON(S): (D1) Schiffman, Barbara Joanne (86) Roseburg, (D2) Tarver, Jessica Traci (30) Roseburg CHARGE(S): Schiffman – Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle VEHICLE(S): Schiffman - XLD128 200 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Tarver - T595646 2016 Ford Econoline Ambulance DETAIL(S): Tarver was driving with emergency lights and sirens on, west on Diamond Lake in an ambulance with a patient in the back. Tarver stopped and cleared the intersection at Winchester and proceeded into the middle of the intersection where they collided with Schiffman’s vehicle, which was southbound on Winchester crossing Diamond Lake. Schiffman was transported to the hospital for minor injury, and the patient in the back of the ambulance was transported by another ambulance for non-crash related medical issues. Roseburg Towing responded and removed Schiffman‘s vehicle from the roadway. The ambulance was able to be driven from the scene. DISPO: Traffic Collision. CHARGE(S): Parole Violation, Criminal Trespass II, Disorderly Conduct II VEHICLE(S): DETAIL(S): A culmination of five calls regarding Linderman's drunken, disorderly behavior resulted in officers detaining him on the listed charges. Thompson was located near the entrance to Gaddis Park pushing the cart full of alcohol. The alcohol was recovered, along with the cart, and they were returned to the store. DISPO: Cited and Released. PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 08/17/2020 (06:30 PM) LOCATION: 100 Block Calypso, Roseburg INCIDENT: Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle CASE #: 203597 PERSON(S): (S) Tate, Corey Michael (25) Myrtle Creek CHARGE(S): Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle VEHICLE(S): YTK544: black 2007 Chevrolet Colorado DETAIL(S): A citizen reported his Chevrolet Colorado stolen from his house in the listed area. The vehicle was found driving on Beacon Street before a male parked it and ran from the scene. Tate was found in the area matching the description of the male who ran from the vehicle. K9 Ozzy assisted and was able to back track from where officers found Tate to the keys for the vehicle. DISPO: Cited and Released. PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 08/17/2020 (07:45 PM) LOCATION: 2553 Stewart Parkway, Roseburg (Sherm’s) INCIDENT: Theft CASE #: 203598 PERSON(S): (S) Goodman, Devin Ian (21) Sutherlin CHARGE(S): Theft III, Providing False information to Police VEHICLE(S): DETAIL(S): Goodman was contacted at Sherm’s after he was caught stealing merchandise. He initially provided a false name to officers, but was later identified. DISPO: Cited and Released. PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 08/17/2020 (08:55 PM) LOCATION: Mulholland / Garden Valley, Roseburg INCIDENT: DUII Alcohol CASE #: 203599 PERSON(S): (S) Hann, Trevor L (30) Roseburg CHARGE(S): DUII Alcohol, Reckless Driving, Violation for Refusal of Breath or Blood Test VEHICLE(S): 1998 Toyota Avalon (VZD148 OR) DETAIL(S): Officers were called to assist the Roseburg Fire Department with a vehicle crash at the listed intersection. When an officer arrived on scene, they were informed by a Roseburg City firefighter that the male driver of the vehicle was most likely intoxicated. The male was identified as Hann. Hann's vehicle was the only one involved in the crash, which occurred when he was driving straight through the intersection, traveling northbound, and struck the curb. Hann was visibly impaired and was ultimately arrested for DUII Alcohol. Hann refused to provide a breath test sample, and was additionally charged with that offense. Hann's vehicle was towed from the scene by Roseburg Towing due to substantial damage. DISPO: Cited and Released.
