Bird Into Powerline Sparks Wildfire on Highway 42
2:17 AM · Aug 25, 2020(DFPA) Crews from DFPA, DCFD #2, and Winston - Dillard FD responded to a grass fire near the 2,000 block of Highway 42. Forward spread of the fire has been stopped at approximately 2 acres and crews are mopping up. The fire investigation indicated that the cause of the fire was due to a bird into the power lines.
