10 Acre Fire Reported out in Putnam Valley Near Drain

Update: 2:22 pm - A new fire has started near the 1000 block of Putnam Valley Road in Drain. The fire is estimated to be 10 acres in size according to DFPA. DFPA and North Douglas County Fire & EMS are currently responding to the natural cover fire. Update 2:22 The Putnam Valley Fire is estimated to be 10 acres in size. The fire is being held at the top of the fire by a road. Overall, fire activity is low. Crews and and a dozer are engaged on the fire. North Douglas County Fire & EMS understands many community members are concerned right now, however no structures are threatened at this time. The fire is currently burning on DFPA protected lands. North Douglas County Fire & EMS is working with DFPA in fire suppression efforts. There are currently NO new evacuations. Update: 1:32 pm - ***Update***.
