Downtown Roseburg Businesses Create Downtown Roseburg Passport
6:52 PM · Oct 1, 2020A group of downtown Roseburg businesses have collaborated to create a Roseburg Passport that encourages customers to visit various businesses in order to enter themselves in a prize drawing. It’s a cooperative effort between Gathering Grounds, Bluezones and the Roseburg Town Center (formerly Downtown Roseburg Association). The passport includes a wellness stamp as well as a stamp for Gathering Grounds, Old Soul, Kitchen Sink, Brix, True, North Forty and Umpqua Sweets and Treats. “It was a pretty collaborative effort,” Gathering Grounds owner Felicia Mellor said. “We were trying to come up with something to bring more people to downtown while asking something exciting for people to do as well. If the program is successful, we would love to do other or new passports in the future to include more businesses downtown as well.” The businesses will run two drawings, the first on November 14 and next on December 31. Once passports are completed, customers can turn them into Gathering Grounds to be eligible for the drawing. The prizes include a mix of items or gift cards from the participating businesses valued at or around $75. The passport is free to pick up at any of the participating businesses, all you have to do is make a purchase at each location to get your stamp. Participants get their eighth stamp by taking a walk to the Roseburg Sister City Friendship Garden on the Deer Creek walk-ways between the library and city buildings, taking a picture of themselves there, and showing it to the staff at Gathering Grounds for their "Well Being Stamp."
