Glide Volleyball Team Sweeps Bonanza 3-0 For Third Straight Win

The Glide Wildcats volleyball team beat Bonanza in straight sets Wednesday night for their third win in a row to start their season. Set scores were 25-18, 25-16, 25-18. Hailey Rummel had four aces and 20 assists for the Wildcats (3-0) while Ella Wright added eight kills. Ruby Livingston added eight kills and Teagan Triplett had three aces and five kills for Glide. “We have never beat Bonanza in 3 (sets) since coming into this league (Southern Cascade League) in 2018,” Glide coach Stephanie Furlong said. “We have also never beat them at home! It was a great game and the girls played very well together. Although we are pretty young collectively, we have a great combination of talent and leadership.” Glide was supposed to play Illinois Valley on Tuesday of this week but that game was cancelled. The Wildcats have another long road trip scheduled for Friday as they play at Lakeview (4-2) at 5:15 p.m.
