Local Organizations Putting on Free Bike Clinic For Kids This Wednesday
9:18 PM · Mar 22, 2021(Safe Routes to School) Several local organizations are going to be putting on a free bike clinic for kids this Wednesday at the Stewart Park basketball courts. When: Wednesday, March 24 th , 11:00am-4:00pm Where: Stewart Park basketball courts (next to the tennis center and driving range). What: A drop-in bike clinic for kids with various stations, including: - FREE bike repair/basic maintenance- bring in your own bike to get basic maintenance and repairs done (does not include new parts) - Bike-themed games (and prizes!)- Bike BINGO, Traffic Sign matching, Simon Says, etc. - Color/Activity books on Bike Safety - Helmet/Bike Fitting - Bike Skills 101, 201 Course - Bike Games - Bike fleet on hand for kids to ride (best suited for kids in grades 4-6 due to size) - Balance bikes for kids still learning to ride Who: Open to the public; geared towards school-aged kids Why: To teach bicycle safety to kids, encourage kids to ride bikes, teach practical bike knowledge/skills such as checking their tires and brakes, and help them become more proficient bike riders. Plus, it’s something fun to do outside with your kids over Spring Break! Cost: FREE!
