Douglas County Cooling Shelters To Open This Weekend

With temperatures that will possibly reach 104 on Saturday and 112 on Sunday, several locations around Douglas County are opening as cooling shelters to the public. These are the only locations that have been confirmed to be open. Roseburg Roseburg Senior Center Friday-Monday 9 am-9 pm 1614 SE Stephens St, Roseburg, OR 97470 (confirmed) Roseburg Public Library Saturday - 10-2 pm (confirmed, though not an official cooling shelter) 1409 NE Diamond Lake Blvd Roseburg, OR 97470 Green Community Church (confirmed) 3777 Carnes Rd, Roseburg, OR 97471 Hours of operation, Sat and Sun 1:00pm-8:00pm and Mon 1:00pm-7:00pm Yoncalla Community Center (confirmed) 400 Main Street, Yoncalla Sat 6/26 11 AM - 7 PM Sun 6/27 11 AM - 7 PM Mon 6/28 11 AM - 7 PM Riddle Community Center (confirmed) 123 Parkside, Riddle Sat 6/26 11 AM - 6 PM Sun 6/27 10 AM - 6 PM Mon 6/28 10 AM - 6 PM Myrtle Creek Library (confirmed) Sun 12:00-8:00 231 NE Division St, Myrtle Creek, OR 97457 Glendale (not confirmed) Glendale High School Library, 10589 Azalea-Glen Rd., Glendale, noon to 10pm Winston The Foursquare Gospel Center, located at 540 SE Main Street in Winston, will be opening their doors as a cooling center on Sunday June 27th from 10 AM to 7:30 PM.
