Crews Respond to Small Fire on Lone Rock Road in Glide

DFPA & Glide Rural Fire Protection District responded to a grass fire located on Lone Rock Road in GLIDE, ORE at 7:20 pm. Fire was smoldering and estimated to be .01 acres in size. A downed powerline was found to be the cause of the fire. The power company was contacted and fire responders remain on scene to ensure the smoldering does not grow into a potential fire. Fire responders will extinguish the hot contact surface area once safe to do so. @ 9:06 pm. Power company arrived to scene. Once power is shutdown, DFPA will perform mop-up. An updated time for containment will be posted at a later time. via DFPA
