Wildfire Smoke to Move Into the Area Monday Along with Warm Temps

Here is the extended near-surface smoke forecast for the Douglas County area. Sunday should look pretty good but smoke will start moving north, especially in the eastern part of the county. By Monday morning, however, things could start getting hazier as smoke from the Rum Creek Fire SW of Glendale moves north. This could last until at least Tuesday. Looks like we are going to get some warm days this next week peaking on Tuesday at 98 degrees. No thunderstorms are expected as the moisture needed is not going to be present. Labor Day Weekend is looking like it will be dry with a slow warming trend according to the NWS!
