54th Annual Summer Arts Festival: A Celebration of Art, Music, and Community

The 54th Annual Summer Arts Festival is set to kick off on June 23rd and will run through June 25th in Roseburg’s Fir Grove Park. This beloved event, which marks the beginning of the summer season, has been a hub for artists, entertainers, vendors, and community members for over half a century. The festival is expected to draw over 10,000 attendees this year. The festival will be open from 10 am to 9 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Admission is priced at $5 per person or $15 per family, with children under the age of 6 admitted for free. The Summer Arts Festival will host over 100 artist vendors showcasing a variety of media. The event will also feature a Youth Zone, live music and entertainment on two stages, and a spotlight on the Pacific Northwest's culinary arts and craft beverages. Here is the schedule for the main stage performances: Friday: Joanne Broh Band at 3 pm, Funkshui at 5 pm, and Mbrascatu at 7 pm. Saturday: Soulstruck at 3 pm, Widespread Haze at 5 pm, and Global Heat at 7 pm. Sunday: June Clivas & The Ditto Boys at 12 pm, and That Other Band at 2 pm. The community stage will also host a variety of performances: Friday: Elkton Robotics at 11 am, Chaelise at 12 noon, Edward Mainwaring at 2 pm, Sam Malcolm at 4 pm, and Vibe Dance Company at 6 pm. Saturday: Sam Malcolm at 11 am, Susan Chitwood Dance Studio at 12 noon, Diana Heilman Perpetual Motion Middle Eastern Dancers at 2 pm, UACT Wizard of Oz at 4 pm, and Halau Hula Aulani at 6 pm. Sunday: The Spitfire Sirons at 11 am, Sam Malcolm at 12 noon, Triple D Entertainment Ellie's Dance Company at 1 pm, and Douglas County Blue Grass Band at 2 pm. The Summer Arts Festival is a celebration of the rich artistic and creative talent found in the Land of Umpqua and beyond. Proceeds from the event will support UVA’s year-round work to provide arts and cultural experiences and essential education opportunities in rural Oregon. The festival promises a unique experience for all attendees, from the artist vendor to the festival guest.
