We were down two sets. I was proud of our girls and how they battled. It’s easy to get down on each other but the girls stuck with it.” Moriah Michaels, Ashtyn Slater and Megan Kruzic were all nominated Skyline League all-tournament team. Gloria Kruzic said “Joleen Crume carried us the whole game.” On 42 hits she had 21 kills and only three errors. “It feels good to go undefeated in league,” Gloria Kruzic said. “But were looking forward to the final site (state tournament) now and actually competing at the state tournament.” Days Creek will get a bye in the first round of the state playoffs. North Douglas will host a first round state playoff game this coming Wednesday. Elkton who Days Creek beat earlier on Saturday in straight sets (3-0) will play on the road in the first round on Wednesday.
