The Umpqua Community College womens volleyball team defeated Chemeketa in four sets Wednesday night in a Northwest Athletic Conference Southern region match.

Set scores were 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-17. Kaitlen Hass had 21 kills and eight digs for the Riverhawks. Johanna Pope had 15 kills and McKenna Wilson added 14 digs and six kills. Shayla Limatoc had 31 digs while Katelyn Crawford had 25 assists and six digs for UCC (18-15, 4-8). The Riverhawks sit in sixth place in the Southern region just behind Chemeketa (12-22, 5-7) with four games remaining. “We still have a lot of work to do to try and make it into NWAC championships but it's still not completely out of reach,” UCC coach Lacy Pinard said. “The Riverhawks have been working hard on some new adjustments over the last week and hopefully it will pay off.” UCC plays at Clark on Saturday at 2 p.m.
