Umpqua Valley Arts Association Announces Emily Brandt As New Executive Director

Umpqua Valley Arts Association has announced the hiring of their new Executive Director. Emily Brandt has been selected by the UVA's Board of Directors. Here is their full announcement: "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: UVA has hired its next Executive Director . . . And she's a very familiar face in our community! We are pleased to announce that, after two nationwide searches, Emily Brandt has been selected by UVA's Board of Directors as our organization's next Executive Director! Emily has served our organization as Board President since 2018, and assumed her new leadership role June 1st. Her appointment comes at an incredible time as we prepare to host our 52nd Annual Summer Arts Festival in two weeks and celebrate our 50th Anniversary later this year. She brings with her extensive management and leadership experience and we are confident that her wealth of knowledge about our organization paired with her commitment and passion for both the arts and community will help move our organization forward at this poignant moment in time. Emily joins our UVA staff team from i.e. Engineering, where she has worked as a Project Manager, Landscape Designer and Planner since 2014. Her background in urban and landscape design has led to her passion for creative placemaking efforts, enhancing the urban environment through public art, and supporting artists and art education efforts for both youth and adults. She has been deeply involved in the Roseburg community through projects at i.e. Engineering and by board service with UVA, Roseburg Sister Cities, UCC Foundation, Umpqua Valley Habitat for Humanity, and Downtown Roseburg Association.
