Bi-Mart announced in a press release Thursday it will be transitioning pharmacy services to Walgreens in Oregon, Idaho and Washington. The transition will begin in mid-October and finish by January 2022.

The employee-owned store is selling all 56 of its pharmacies, including prescription files and inventories. Bi-Mart pharmacists and pharmacy staff will have an opportunity to apply for available positions at Walgreens. In stores without a Walgreens store nearby, Walgreens will operate pharmacies within the existing Bi-Mart locations under the Walgreens brand.

Bi-Mart is investing in improving store systems and expanding across the Northwest.
