Graffiti Weekend Schedule

Graffiti weekend kicked off today and continues through Sunday, July 10. This is the 40th annual Graffiti Weekend since The Umpqua Flatheads Car Club were at the A & W, the Stray Angels Car Club were at Pete”s Drive-In and the Timberland Corvettes sold Graffiti Night T-shirts. The event has grown and is a packed weekend of celebrating old cars and reliving the fun parts of the 1950's. Wednesday, July 6: Street Memories Kick Off Car Show - Henry Estate Winery, 687 Hubbard Creek Road, Umpqua. Entry starts at noon, show runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with awards at 4 p.m. There is a $10 registration fee and is open to all years and makes of cars, trucks and motorcycles. There will be food vendors. Food donations are being collected for Feeding Umpqua. No pets allowed. For more information, call 541-430-4322. Dance Off Social and Benefit - Oran Mor Artisan Meadery, 305 Melrose Road, Roseburg. The social dance event registration starts at 5 p.m. for $5 and closes at 6 p.m. The dance runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with music from the 60s to the 80s courtesy of Colleen & Co. Registration is open from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The show starts at 11 a.m. and the awards presentation is at 3:30 p.m. The show is open to all special-interest vehicles. The show is open to all years, makes, and models of cars and motorcycles. Winners will be announced at 7 p.m. There will be a burnout contest with a cash prize starting at 7:30 p.m. Registration is open from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for $40. There will also be a Pinup Fashion Show with trophies and prizes. Registration is open from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for no fee. Registration opens at 8 and closes after the 500th car or 11 a.m., whichever comes first. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is limited spectator parking and event organizers encourage attendees to use the shuttle bus service (see below). There will be a car corral for cars for sale with a $20 entry fee. There will be dash plaques, raffles, trophies, foods, a poker walk, quilt show and sale, and food donations being collected for Feeding Umpqua. No pets are allowed. Free admission, open to all ages from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be classic cars on display, a people's choice contest and a best in show contest. Street burnouts will not be tolerated.
