Boulder Flat/Pine Bench Fire Explodes to 773 Acres, Now Bigger Than Trail Fire

The Boulder Flat/Pine Bench Fire smoldered for close to 16 hours at around 2 acres in size. Then Thursday afternoon it exploded and grew from a few acres to 773 acres as of Friday morning. The Trail Fire next to Diamond Lake has been mapped at 701 acres as of Friday morning, so smaller than previously estimated. Tankers have been working on that fire extensively to keep it as small as possible. The Lemolo Fire grew from 15 acres to 179 acres as of Friday morning. The Watson Fire is at 37 acres. The Pig Iron Fire is at 2 acres. More information to come as it becomes available.
