Breakdown of Douglas County Solid Waste Advisory Committee Proposed Fee Increase

Last night the Douglas County Solid Waste Advisory Committee proposed some increases to the fees that are charged at area landfills and transfer stations. I have made a chart showing existing prices, proposed prices and prices in Portland for comparison. The proposed fee increase would now need to be approved by the Douglas County Commissioners before it would be taken into effect. Disposal fee waivers for community cleanups was also voted on and a recommendation is being made to commissioners that the public works director be given authority to approve fee waivers for the cleanups.
